Abstract

Progressive hemifacial atrophy or Parry-Romberg´s syndrome is an acquired, typically unilateral, facial distortion with unknown etiology. We present the case of a female 30-years-old, with pathological antecedents of progressive hemifacial atrophy or Parry-Romberg´s syndrome, that begins with left hemiparesia (in her arm and her face), loss of conscience, deviation of the look toward the right and disorientation. CT scan of simple skull is carried out where a stroke is verified. The following day she begins with tonic-clonic widespread convulsions and is discusses as refractory epilepsy.
